The Project:
West Whitlawburn Housing Co-operative is a leading community-based housing provider in Scotland. They approached us to deliver a full digital and brand refresh — creating a modern, accessible website alongside updated branding, document resources, and internal design assets to better serve their residents and community.
Our Approach:
This was a comprehensive project covering both technical development and visual identity. We began by working with WWHC to modernise their branding, including a refreshed logo design, visual style, and a full branding guidelines document to ensure consistency across all platforms and communications.
For the website, we designed and developed a bespoke, fully responsive platform with a strong focus on accessibility and user experience. The site structure was built around key user journeys — ensuring that residents, applicants, and stakeholders could easily find the information they needed.
A key feature of the build was the development of a Custom Post Type (CPT) document suite — enabling users to easily search, filter, and export documents, policies, and forms in an accessible, structured way. This solution significantly improved content management for WWHC while meeting stringent regulatory and WCAG 2.2 AA/AAA accessibility requirements.
Key Features:
Bespoke website design & development
Custom Post Types (CPTs) for document suite
Full accessibility compliance (WCAG 2.2 AA/AAA)
Logo redesign & refreshed visual identity
Brand guidelines document creation
SEO-ready & performance optimised
Multilingual support enabled for potential future use
Easy-to-manage backend for ongoing updates
Google Analytics & visitor tracking implemented
The Result:
The result is a professional, accessible, and community-focused website, underpinned by clear, consistent branding. The new platform supports WWHC’s commitment to transparency and resident engagement while streamlining internal content management and ensuring regulatory compliance.
